I have an issue where my all-in-one touch screen is seen by Ubuntu as dual monitors. When I get to the login screen the logon dialogue box is scrunched into a 800x600 box in the top left corner and the rest of the screen is stretched and distorted. I had experienced the same issue when I logged into my desktop, thought it was a driver problem but turned out it was driving my single monitor as 2 monitors mirrored, monitor 1 generic and monitor 2 laptop. I unchecked the mirror 0ption and disabled the phantom 800x600 generic monitor and had fixed the issue within the desktop; but still have it during the boot and at the login screen. Is there a way to disable the phantom monitor (generic 800x600) within grub or another system file so it only sees the 2nd monitor (Laptop)?

Just as a side note; I don't care if the fix disables the ability for me to have multiple monitors since it is a 23 inch touch screen all in one and I won't ever be adding a second monitor.
