View Full Version : Now, any ubuntu (native) game to play with my wimote

Just out of curiosity, I had buy a compatible wiimote (10) plus a batterypowered sensor bar (5) which is basically just to 4 infrared led.
Now for about 15 (20$ it's not much even if for that price you can have a wireless mouse/keyboard set) I got a fully working wii mote mouse (with accelerometer and slot expansion).
So, I was wondering, there's any native Ubuntu games that I can take advance to play with?
It's no problem if I've some settings to do (kind remap keys and such) so long the gameplay take advance of the "free hand" gaming.

Thanks to wiican (https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/wiican/) I got the perfect settings for neverball (https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/neverball/)... wich is quite playable with both accelerometer and gyroscope (the inclination of the wiimote get translated virtually as table inclination) or IR mouse mode (which is quite playable too!).
But I don't like the gameplay of Neverball: ball acceleration it's too badly calibrated (maybe based upon realistic physics? not good for gaming!) and bounce too much on border (physics wide rules: aren't the impact supposed to absorb some inertia?)
