On my laptop for the sound system which is running Ubuntu Studio with Xfce things have changed since the last update.
I use this laptop one or twice a week. Yesterday I did all the updates which haven't been done for about two weeks. Today when I started it up to do some reconding, I didn't have any top bar on any windows. (no X - □). Also the top panel only has one workspace. And it will not let me add any more. Also Cairo dock quick working.
I re-installed all the files for Xfce desktop and also Cairo Dock but this didn't help. Finial I install Gnome and am using Gnome Classic. I never really had much luck using Xfce, and I know there are other out here that really like it. This is an older slower laptop otherwise I would use Unity. This laptop has a "M" processor in it, you know the older mobile processor.
I was just wondering if someone else had this problem or if there was a way to fix it?
