View Full Version : Ubuntu 12.10 upgrades not booting - grub>

Hi, iam a newbie looking through these threads to get some help and this seems to be the closest.
I need a bit of help to boot up after upgrades from ubuntu 12.10 after installing upgrades will not boot up i have the BASH-like line editing screen on desktop with the word grub> what should i do from this point to get ubuntu to load normally again.
i am not a computor wiz just like using linux over mic stuff.
thanks in advance for anybodys help.

Moved to your own thread. Boot issues are almost always unique as everyone has different hardware and configurations.

Best just to run Boot-Repair so we can see the details of your configuration. You can download into your Ubuntu liveCd or a full repair ISO.

Post the link to the BootInfo report that this creates. Is part of Boot-Repair:

You can repair many boot issues with this or 'Create BootInfo' report (Other Options) & post the link it creates, so we can see your exact configuration and diagnose advanced problems.
Install in Ubuntu live CD,DVD or USB flash or Full RepairCD with Boot-Repair (for newer computers)
