Hi!
My wlan card is not always detected as my tvcard either. It happens randomly, and a reboot helps almost always. They always work fine under w7.
Wlan card: i have no idea, i dont have access right now to the system, but i can tell it in 2 hours.
Tv card: Tevii S471
System: 12.10 x64 latest quantal (3.6.3-030603) kernel (happens with 12.04 x86 quantal 3.5 cause tvcard driver is only since 3.5) but it happens with the "default kernel" either.
If it happens, the devices are not listed in the lspci.
I can post you msg-s if you need some.
(of corse after i can ask my gf to reboot the machine. but than the wlan will work fine.)
First of all what can it be?
The devices have warranty but if they are not totally off i cant send them back...

update: here is the dmesg from today twice the first boot no wlan, second boot wlan works fine.
