Does anyone know how to stop gnome from using wikipedia as the default search engine. I'd like it to use google.

I've seen an article that said that gnome looked at the xml files in /usr/share/gnome-shell/open-search-providers in reverse alphabetical order and that changing the name of the google xml would do it but that didn't work.

I tried just renaming the wikipedia xml to .bak so it wouldn't be looked at and I checked that the default search provider in chrome and firefox is google as well but still if I try to search through gnome it opens wikipedia.

Any ideas?
