Requesting opinions on coffeescript

I read up on internet that coffeescript is very close to javascript.So even armed with the knowledge of coffeescript,is it worth to learn coffeescript?What are the benifits?Also,suggest good books on coffeescript

I write a lot of coffeescript (wrote a lot of scripts, several web apps with backbone and ~5 canvas games). It's marvelous. It saves time. Makes it easier to work with objects. The syntax is great.

You know javascript, right? In that case, all you need to do is try and rewrite some old project to coffeescript. As I said, the site is all you need. If you still need some help, I'l pm you my skype or something.
