The Novels like Wheel of time or Ranger's apprentice, Eragon Series (Eragon,Eldest,Brisingr and Inheritance) etc...

Maybe the "A Game of Thrones" series of books may interest you??

Or try "Magician" by Raymond E Feist.

Try the follow on books as well
there are plenty around for downloading try ebook3600 search engine.

You could try
The Chronicles of Thomas covenant.
The Saga of the Exiles ( or Saga of Pliocene Exile)
The Daughter of the Empire and follow on books

all are available in the search engine

Try the site Goodreads - great for books and info.

I think pretty much any fantasy book would do. Even some of the Prattchet's ones. And you'd laugh reading them :D
