Please, could we have Double Commander (http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net/) available in the official SW resources?

I mean, I've read it's not good to add PPA's to SW repositories because of the possible security risks...

You might do better posing this question to the folks that develop that app.

This is a community of volunteers -- we have no influence on what Canonical includes in the repos.

There are a few two-pane file managers in the repos already
apt-cache search two pane file manager That said, I don't see a problem adding this PPA, looks like it's been around for awhile.

OK, I've created a thread on the official DC forum (http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1772)...

And the developer replied (http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=11121#p11121):
"Only official Ubuntu maintainers can do it."

So we got stuck in the dead-cycle. Perfect. Is there any way how to solve this, please?
