I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 x86-64 on a 2011 Macbook Pro (8.2). The mac has two graphics card, but previously Ubuntu could only see the dedicated graphics card.

I am trying to follow this guide http://www.rodsbooks.com/ubuntu-efi/index.html to install it. I got all the way to "Fixing the Installation" (about 2/3rds down on the page) and installed rEFInd. However, when I booted to the Super Grub2 Disk, I found the entry under "Detect any GRUB 2 installation". But when I try to boot to it, the screen turns black and immediately reboots back to the rEFInd menu.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?
