Clicking on a tab in gnome-terminal causes the tab to pop out into a new window

Ubuntu 12.04. I confirmed this issue occurs in Fluxbox as well as Metacity, so it's not the window manager. Might be related to:

Since it probably thinks I am clicking and dragging?

Switching to the nouveau driver and switching to 2 monitors seems to have fixed this...interesting.
