Though I always preferred Stingray (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E06cNv55jTs&gl=GB&hl=en-GB).

Gerry Anderson, Thunderbirds creator, dies (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-20845407)

I remember watching Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet on the family's black & white TV several decades ago. *sigh*

That show was a bit too "Uncanny Valley" for me to enjoy as a kid (or as an adult, for that matter); still sorry to hear this.

I remember Stingray. I must have been too old when Thunderbirds was playing.

Gerry Anderson was way ahead of his time,,,, Mind you, you could (and still can be) in Sci Fi. I do wish we had a real International Rescue, complete with those fantastic machines. Although quite how they'd manage the amount of calls they'd receive these days, is anyone's guess. ;););)

Those shows never appealed to me as a kid growing up. Then again I look back on original transformers and wonder how the heck I got into watching them as well. :D

I will admit the action in those shows was pretty good for its time and his creative element will be missed. May he rest in peace..
