Hi, I have windows 7 on my laptop, and I wanted to install Ubuntu (12.10 x32) alongside it. Ubuntu installation went fine, I selected sda3 as a partition to install GRUB, I copied boot.img from Ubuntu to windows partition and used Visual BCD to add Ubuntu to windows bootloader. Now when I start my computer, it boots windows by default, but if I choose to boot Ubuntu, it reports an error:
Unknown symbol type `9'
Aborted. Press any key to exit...
Can anyone tell me why is this happening?
I also used the same method to install BackTrack5 and I get the same error...
