I just bought a Asus Zenbook UX32A yesterday. Trying to install Ubuntu on it, but it wont even let me boot the USB to start the install. I am able to get to the Grub selection, but when I choose to load the Live install, the screen just goes to black, and nothing ever loads.

Please help. Or at least point me in the direction for some clear instructions. I would much rather use Ubuntu then the other preinstalled software.

Thanks.

Looks like an issue with the graphics card. Please post your hardware specs.

Here are some steps to diagnose and maybe fix the problem with the black screen:

Thanks for the post.

My specs are:
Asus Zenbook UX32A-DH51, 4GB ram, 500GB + 24SSD, Intel HD Graphics 4000. Came with Windows 7 (rather that than 8).

Thanks again.
