This an SDHC kingston card. It works fine in windows.
Ubuntu does not recognize it, no response when plugged in.
I found this where talks about download and compile a kernel module?

The card reader works on SD cards, but not on SDHC cards

You answered the question yourself

The card reader works on SD cards, but not on SDHC cards

You obviously need a new card reader!
