Hi guys, I was trying to run the Ubuntu live CD to see if there are any compatibility issues with Ubuntu and my PC but I have been having an issue while installing it.

When i click "Try Ubuntu" on the Ubuntu install screen it starts loading with loads of text on the screen and then the font changes (i assume to the normal Ubuntu font) and then finally I get this error:

udev[126]: '/sbin/modprobe -bv pci:somerandomnumbers:[256] terminated by signal 9 (killed)

I have an Nvidia GeForce GT220 graphics card if that helps and my computer make in general is a Packard Bell Ixtreme M3720

If you want any more specs then I would be happy to provide them, and any help would be great.

Thanks,
Carwyn

I hate to bump the thread guys, but any help would be great. I really would like to switch to Ubuntu as my main OS instead of using it in a VM like I have been for the past few years.

Thanks,
Carwyn
