Strange behaviour ubuntu 10.04 after visiting site with a BAT/Formatx threat

After i click t on this site don't click (url with points to disable it http://go........odsites.kazeo.com/q/pra.......tique//pra......tique/.html ).
My ubuntu with the newest updates gone crazy first firefox gone black i stopt the tab i removed the cookies and shut it down.
Problems : taskbar at the bottom is empty, close and minimize buttons are gone and the computer is slow.
After restart the only problem that after minimizing everything is gone in the taskbar also after reconfiguration of the taskbar.
checkt the site at http://www.urlvoid.com and avg detected a BAT/Formatx threat. don't now if it has something to do with it.
I can recover my ubuntu to before the updates but i want to know what happened can somebody help me with this Thanks

That website is probably a spam or hack website that is supposed to do something like fork bomb your computer.

Why were you trying to connect to the website?

I also advise using NoScript for you internet browser, as it [mostly] prevents websites from doing this sort of thing.

thanx for the advice about using NoScript in my browser. About visiting the site i search t for a video it was a google result.
But still the problem of the changed appearance is not solved i have a clone of the old version without the updates i wil try to visit the site without the updates and then 1 update at a time for me its unbearable to not know what has caused this strange behaviour and maybe it is a problem in one of the updates. I wil know what caused it because when by visiting sites that can change little things they can change big things i'm trying to prevent that from happening.
If someone have advise about the matter please reply i will report about the progress.
