I am using 12.04 with the classic gnome fallback shell. I am pretty dissatisfied with the implementation fo the Recently-Used feature. I have zeitgeist uninstalled as much as possible.
Here's the frustrating part: IN some application (PDF Chain being one), when clicking browsing for a file it defaults to the "recently Used" files. Now I would think if I click browse, the last thing I want is to open the file I have just recently opened, so the default is absolutely brain dead.
This may be an overreaction, but is there a way to make any and all application ignore the "recently used" idea?
