I am using Ubuntu 10.10 .I want to update new version.
in the update manager it shows 11.04 is available but when i try to upgrade it shows me a error message during download as "Upgrade failure ,There may be problem with network or server"
I tried to upgrade many times but each time same error..:(
Is there any way to upgrade higher version other than Update manager ?

Can any one help me with this..

I think you are confusing update with upgrade,

Luckily with opensource like Ubuntu they can both be done as simple as one click

click update to update

if you want the new release it's the one click at ubuntu.com/download

10.10 & 11.04 have both reached EOL.

You can't upgrade to 11.04 because it has reached end-of-life and is no longer supported.

Your best approach from here would be to back up your data and do a fresh install of 12.04 or 12.10.

You *can update from one release to another, but it would take a very long time (10.10 -> 11.04 -> 11.10 -> 12.04, the current LTS), and things will definitely break along the way. Also, 10.10 and 11.04 has reached end-of-life, so their repos are moved.

Your best shot would be to download a new version (I recommend 12.04) from Ubuntu's site, back up your entire home folder, and install.
