Hi all,
I'm looking for an Ubuntu or Wine compatible program that will allow me to scale and measure PDF floorplans.
I recently tried to install autodesk quantity takeoff under wine, but it has some .net frame work compatibility issues as well.
Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure if this will help, but I would take a look at "LibreCAD". It is in the software center. It had some good reviews but none of them said anything about PDF files. But in some of the reviews it said that this was the best CAD for Linux. Take a look.

Sadly there isnt any real construction estimation software for linux. Other then Calc and Note Pad.
Dassault Systems makes Draft Sight 2D CAD software that is functional enough. Sadly they dont make SolidWorks for Linux or OSX.
