So I'm typing this on my mac, which is obviously connected to the network.
All day, the internet on my 12.10 machine has been as **** as I've ever seen, torrents with 50 or so peers won't download any faster than 16kb/s.
It keeps dropping out, the disconnected message does appear.
It has it listed in the available networks, but it won't connect at all.
It keeps displaying the window to enter in the network password, it constantly appears like every few minutes.
What the hell is going on?

It's not a weak wifi signal.
My mac, iPod, phone, and xbox are all connecting just fine.

are you using your own network or is it a shared router??
if it is a shared router plus you have all these devices connected at the same time that make a huge impact with your bandwidth plus some routers limits how many devices can be connected at the same time.
Check your router's config page 192.168.1.1

There not all on at the same time, I've used the throughout the day to check if it was happening throughout the entire WLAN.
The router is just a home router.
The config page is not 192.168.1.1, not everybody has the same router.

Ok. Then.
to find your config page you can google it or it says in a sticker on the router itself.
But if you're having connection problems it usually is a problem with the router and not your machine.
This usually fixes my connection problems.
Reboot your computer and unplug your router from the power source for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
I really hope this fixes your problem!
