My ubuntu splash screen is no longer appearing. I used lubuntu XDE once and now everytime i boot ubuntu it shows a cyan screen with lubuntu in terminal-like font and 4 "."s. i want my beutiful ubuntu splash screen back. HELP!


OS; Ubuntu 12.10 LTE 32-bit
Machine: Dell Inspiron E1705
Processor: Intel Core Duo 1.78ghz

Here's a post telling how to fix that: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=12360740&postcount=3 Just copy the line shown, then open a terminal & paste it in. After you enter your password, it should give you a list of the installed splash screens. Just choose the Ubuntu one & reboot. ;)
