I am running ubuntu 12.10 and just tried to install google earth follow directions in help pages on installing it, but when I try and launch it all it does is display the splash screen for a second and then goes away. I found the file in opt/google/earth/free, and would like to uninstall it but can't figure out how to do it. It is not listed in the software center so what do I have to do to try and get it to uninstall, and then what do I need to do to get it reinstalled and working.....I have looking on the net for help but not finding what I need to uninstall it? thanks
