I have Ubuntu 12.10, & wish to install Google Earth. I downloaded Googleearth-package via Synaptic, read README in the package, apparently followed the instruction, but failed to download Googleearth. I would appreciate any help.

Download .deb from https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/earth/download/ge/agree.html and install

i downloaded the .deb stable current amd64 file.
what command do i use to install it?
synaptic and apt-get fails to find the packae.
help needed

Double-click the *.deb file to install.
