Hi, I'm running Xubuntu 12.04 because I like the stability of the LTS but I really dig the theme in 12.10. Is there a way I can get the theme files from 12.10 to use on 12.04?

This site (http://www.webupd8.org/2012/08/greybird-default-xubuntu-theme-gets.html) offers instructions on installing the Xubuntu 12.10 (Greybird) theme on Xubuntu 12.04. Their located in the Quantal Quetzal repositories in the "shimmer-themes" package.

Once installed it will be labeled "greybird-git".

As follows:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shimmerproject/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install shimmer-themes-greybird

You can also get many other themes here (http://xfce-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=15x100x420&PHPSESSID=9fa7ba1222bb174cc51c929a54954c7c).

Hope this helps.

You are awesome. 5 minutes after reading your post and I'm using the new theme.

Thank you.
