I'm experiencing this bug - it started at some point in 12.04 (probably due to an ubdate) and persist in 12.10 (which i freshly installed):
Whenever I minimize an application from full screen the launcher and the global menu bar disappear until I click either of them.
I've filed this bug report where I describe the issue in detail:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1069451
So far nothing have come out of it except that a couple of people have confirmed it.
I understand that the people checking out bug reports are busy and that it takes time for a bug to be fixed. What I want to know is:
Does this affect all 12.10 users or is it due to some specific setting of mine?
I would say that it is a pretty big glitch if it affects everyone - but maybe only a few people rely on minimizing/maximizing full screen apps as much as I do?
Update: my computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 with Intel HD GPU
