Server 12.04 FONTS setup

Ubuntu 12.04 Server Edition - Anyone know how to increase the size of the fonts on the console. Obviously I'll be doing this at the terminal, I haven't installed a GUI.

Someone suggested changing the screen resolution in GRUB, I did that but it only changed the boot screen fonts, once booted up the fonts returned to their original smaller size.

Gave up and installed a GUI. Not really what I wanted but it works and it was simple.
