View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu 12.10 Gnome Classic Places Menu?

Hello all!

I don't know if this is the right place to post but I wanted to ask:

Is it possible to edit the places menu in gnome classic on ubuntu 12.10?

I heavily edited the applications menu to show the software I like and use, but I want to do the same to the places menu to show the various folders like documents, music etc but also remove things like the desktop, computer, network and so on...

Is this possible?

Thank you!

The places menu used to show nautilus bookmarks but that feature seems to be removed...sorry but I haven't been able to find a way/figure out how to manually edit the places menu either

Not sure if it's likely to help or not, but you can me too the bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1070290

You can still edit bookmarks but you have to select/open the folder you want to add first. Then you can change the order in nautilus but I don't know if the order will be reflected in the Classic places menu.

See help edit bookmarks.
