Welcome to the forums.

From a liveDVD or USB flash that you used to install run this:

Post the link to the BootInfo report that this creates. Is part of Boot-Repair:
Boot Repair -Also handles LVM, GPT, separate /boot and UEFI dual boot.:
You can repair many boot issues with this or 'Create BootInfo' report (Other Options) & post the link it creates, so we can see your exact configuration and diagnose advanced problems.
Install in Ubuntu liveCD or USB or Full RepairCD with Boot-Repair (for newer computers)

Hi and welcome to the Forum,

I know it is a bit stupid to ask you, but have you seen if your hard drive is connected to the computer (there may be some broken cable or so). The error for my opinion is just telling you that a boot section was not found, which could mean several things The first to look after will be the grub.cfg file which is responsible for your booting.

EDIT: Oh follow the scripts suggested above. They will help you in your problem.
