Hi,

I have a new PC (see details at the end) and I try to install ubuntu desktop 12.10

The computer start whitout trouble and the install process starts from the CD.

So I have to choose the language and, just after, from the menu : Install Ubuntu, Try Ubuntu, etc.

I try "Installer Ubuntu" and after a few seconds, the display stop working. I try a few times, so I saw differents things... smalls dots of differents colors, blues dots on black background, black screen with orange square at the right bottom...

I also try "Try Ubuntu" from the menu but I got the same result...

I try the 32 and 64 bits version.

How can_I install Ubuntu ?

Hi ,
if this is a problem with the graphics (that can be resolved later , after installation finish) , then try to install with an option like "nomodeset" . Have a read here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1613132) on how to set this parameter during boot.

Thanks
