miniCD 10.04 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/mini.iso

Installer can not download any components
And yes, my network connection works because in console I can ping, and ash shell returns google is active.
I've tried two mirrors us and de.They both failed.

First question.
Should old miniCDs netinstalls work?

Second question:

Why do ubuntu staff keep miniCD for downloading if they are useless?

I tried 10.04 ,8.04.They both faield.
Only latest LTS 12.04 works - installer can download components for netinstall

If this is a ubuntu policy for netinstall - only the latest release to work, why do not you inform people about it, so they do not waste time trying to install old ubnuntu releases with their old miniCDs?

Is this is so, then make it work, because what you are saying is just a theory.Make it real, please.
OLD miniCD are useless because they can not download actual installer from the archives.
