Hello everybody.

For a "bug" reason, I cannot install a newer kernel version than 2.6.38-
(see e.g. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/841948)

Even though, I installed the Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat and runs extremely well.
I installed the NVIDA drivers using the command prompt, but using this method an old beta version is installed (260.19.06).

Do you recommend me to install the latest drivers manually? Will I have problems if my computer is running an old linux Kernel (2.6.35-32-generic)?

Thank you veru much in advance.
