I'm just wondering if I should be worried about potential security fixes not being implemented into the Ubuntu 12.10 kernel since it's based on kernel 3.5 and that's now reached end of life. You can tell by running cat /proc/version_signature which returns Ubuntu 3.5.0-18.29-generic 3.5.7 with the latest updates. 3.5.7 is the last of the 3.5 series to be made according to www.kernel.org
Is Ubuntu going to backport secrutity fixes from the latest kernel themselves or perhaps upgrade to 3.6? Or are we going to be negelcted :(
