I wiped out my backup partition while installing Ubuntu. Whoops.

I've got most of my photos and important work backed up on drop box but there are still files that i would like to recover if possible.

Can someone point me in the right direction on this. I'll check in regularly and answer any questions that you have. Thanks.

Testdisk. You can run it from live mode, don't boot from the hdd any more if you intend to try and restore a deleted partition.
