no more blank screen on power save...

hi,
"blank screen" option in power management hasn't been working since this morning. no update or other system change performed...

when power manager tries to blank screen after N minutes of inactivity, the screen goes "grey": the display lamp is on, and a uniform light grey color is displayed.

using ubuntu 10.10 32bit, gnome 2.32.0

any hints on how to debug?

automagically fixed... no change performed on the system, but after a couple of reboots the blank screen got back... :)
