I tried several and none could make decent sound and in sync with the video.
Kazam just worked and works with gnome3 with no configuring.

The others I could not get the sound to be loud enough or it was static filled.

I think it should be the default install.
How can that be submitted as an idea?

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kazam-team/stable-series
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kazam

As this guy says kazam works while the others had issues.

I imagine that it wont. Is it not only for ubuntu or gnome?

I found out it does work, logged in KDE plasma desktop and it is working fine.Took a screencast and just showing the menus etc...
