After disabling my discrete AMD Radeon card with
echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switchas root, my screen flickers randomly. It does this both in Unity as MATE. Is there anyone here with the same problem/a solution?

Dell Vostro 3350
2nd gen Intel core i5/HD Graphics 3000
AMD Radeon HD 6xxxm series graphics card
8 GB RAM
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server edition, ubuntu-desktop installed, mate-desktop installed. Problem also occurs with only mate-desktop and lightdm as display manager.
