View Full Version : [ubuntu] SFTP SSH File transfer slow

November 20th, 2012, 01:34 PM
I'm trying to transfer some files using filezilla and the SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol and I'm getting around 12KB/sec to my VMware workstation Guest Ubuntu . My Base systems running on ubuntu 10.04 64bit. What can I do to speed up this SFTP transfer? Kind of a pain to transfer the files .

The same I do file transfer from Windows host it shows 40MB/sec .

I am testing the Virtual Linux Guest for some application testing . purposely i need to transfer 200mb to 400 file from my local host ( ubuntu 10.04- 64bit ) to virtual host ( ubuntu 12.04 -64bit)

My local host running : Extreme Quad core 2.53GHZ with 16GB DDR3 RAM
Virtual Guest : Dual core with 4 GB Ram .. NAT

Note : I love to stick with linux for any reason .But , this issue is really painful one .Kindly give me a solution .. or any other way to transfer the files

Advance thanks
