View Full Version : [ubuntu] Asus eee 1008AH Display resolution to 1366x768 on Ubuntu 12.04

I upgraded to 12.04 from 11.10 and it all seems to work, but for the display resolution: I only get up to 1200x600 and (I think) it's not even H/W accelerated.

FYI -- I just used the "upgrade" button in the Software Update UI
(I know, I know... I'm good with the terminal and all that, I just felt lazy...)

It's slow and looks on the crappish side.

It used to work just fine, but I recall I had to do some footwork to get the Intel Poulso chip to be recognized: unfortunately, I can no longer find that thread, and I've been googling (and trying several other options) for the best part of two hours now, and also searching these forums to no avail.

I'm sure the info is here somewhere, I just seem unable to locate it.

Does anyone know what is the required incantation so that I can get my display to show a 1366x768, h/w accelerated, resolution?

thanks in advance,
