Finally did the upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04. One issue I have not resolved yet is the missing UPS battery icon in the status bar. The system is seeing the UPS via the USB link. My searches on the web have shown this to be a known bug, but I have yet to find a solution. While my desktop is an AMD 64bit machine, I am running 32bit.
