Good day to you all.

I'm trying to download the Ubuntu 12 ISO file to install Ubuntu alongside Windows XP.
I get to download about 500Mb and then i get an error saying could not download file.
First tried it by using the Windows Installer when i got this error.
Then tried to download file elsewhere from another network and got the same error. only received part of the ISO file.

Please advise.

Regards,

Wihann

Try downloading using a bittorrent client, this way the download will automatically resume if there are any problems. Also using torrents the downloaded is checksummed so you can be sure that your downloaded file is 100% correct.

Good morning Cheesemill.

Many thanks for the advice given yesterday.

From your advice I used program called Getright to finally download the iso file successfully :)

I then proceeded to create the bootable USB stick on Windows, which I will be testing tonight to see if I can install Ubuntu alongside Windows on a second hard drive.

Thanks again for your advice.

Best Regards
