Does anyone know if Ubuntu supports animated or Live Wallpapers?

sorry to bump this thread, but thank you very very much for posting that link. galaxy is running very easily on my old athlon x2 laptop :D

On my Kubuntu that works but.. I can't see the icons on the desktop, it looks like a animated wallpaper covered desktop.I thinks it's plasma bug, have somebody any idea?

Yes is possible use an naimated changer of wallpaper or with mplayer put an video by background its very easy i use this on my desk->

To use an video with wallpaper like dreamscenes of WInderos you can use AniBG or A-Desk programs there are deb packages to install.
