Howdy. I just finished updating from 11.04 to 11.10 and things were great until this morning. System settings takes a long time to come up and when it does there's about 40 copies of EACH one of the apps listed there. There's about 40 "Appearance", 40 "Keyboard Layout", and so on.
I'm not at all a n00b, and I'm not the type to go messing about in settings willy nilly. I waited until 11.04 passed out of support before updating to 11.10 because I am hacking on a gigantic dbase/perl project and I didn't want anything in the environment to change and maybe mess things up while I was deep in development.
I have no idea what I might have done to cause this, but has anyone else heard of such thing? If so, what was thy solution? So far, it's not really "a problem", but it seems to me to indicate the presence of a problem somewhere else which should be addressed right away.
Then again, maybe I should just go ahead on to v12x...
