Well, as usual, I'm having trouble installing a new OS.
I'm on a crappy AMD laptop and I'm trying to download Xubuntu. The actual OS works just fine, but the resolution thingymajiggy is pretty weird. Whenever I choose 1920x1080 as my resolution (which my monitor is, I'm using a separate monitor because my laptop one broke) the screen goes out of bounds. I can't see the menu or the desktop shortcuts. I'm currently on 1680x1050 because I can see the menu but it's incrediby blurry compared to 1920x1080 which is crisp.
Is there any quick fix to this? It has been ******* me off so far.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Instead of saying "nvm fixed it" and potentially **** off another user looking for help, I'm just going to say that I managed to fix it by playing around with the TV settings a bit. Changed the picture format to Unscaled and it worked.
