12.10 here, installed by updating from 12.04.
Unity Webapps refuse to work. I get the prompts when browsing to the supported websites via Firefox, and I've accepted a few of those (Gmail, Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr).
However, nothing happens. The apps are not added to the Dash, they aren't added to the Launcher, nothing gets added to the 'Envelope' menu.
Upon searching for them in the Dash, there are no results.
In software-center the respective webapp appears as installed (unity-webapps-gmail, unity-webapps-twitter, unity-webapps-tumblr, unity-webapps-youtube).
I'm confused.

EDIT: somehow selected 'lubuntu' instead of 'ubuntu'. Sorry about that. Dunno how to change it. This is about 'vanilla' Ubuntu, btw - obviously.
