Hello
I have the following configuration : Ubuntu 10.10 Server, with XFCE4 desktop. Normal startup does not start the X-server/XFCE4 desktop. So, first I have to logon and then start the program xfce4-session and then I have the (old) Xubuntu desktop.
Now for my question: I'd like to connect to this server from my laptop using XMing. After some tweaking it works fine, but only after I start the XFCE4-desktop on the server itself.
Is it possible to get my XFCE4-desktop using XMing on my laptop, without first starting X-server on the server?
Further question: any idea how to use the XDMCP feature on XLaunch?
Greets and thanx for any help
