November 5th, 2012, 01:41 PM

Every time my machine gets Hangs and because of this process:-

oot 1083 6.2 1.1 75820 33672 tty7 Ss+ 08:45 34:04 /usr/bin/X :0 -nr -verbose -auth /var/run/gdm/auth-for-gdm-IJMWHS/database vt7

/var/run//gdm/auth process is taking lot of resources, when new gnome session is getting started, process takes lot of resources

I also found that whenever i found new browsers or new tab in browser, it process start's increasing. But after doing ssh, all other process are working fine, in background. When above process reaches 99% of cCPU usage then, PC gets freeze and even stop responding inputs. Unfortunately l have to manually restart the machine.

OS installed is Ubuntu 10.10 \n \l
Ram installed :- 2GB DDR3
Processor :- i3 Intel
Please help !!
