Hi,

I installed Ubuntu 12.10 using a USB drive in a PC that already had Windows 7 installed on it. However, when I boot the system, instead of being provided an option to choose to boot using either of the two OS, Windows always starts up. I did some search and based on a solution I found on net, booted the system using my USB again and tried installing grub customizer. But this also does not seem to help. Can you please help me get this opening menu that would help allow a dual boot scenario?

Thanks.

From your liveUSB download and run this.

Post the link to the BootInfo report that this creates.

Boot Repair -Also handles LVM, GPT, separate /boot and UEFI dual boot.:

You can repair many boot issues with this or 'Create BootInfo' report (Other Options) & post the link it creates, so we can see your exact configuration and diagnose advanced problems.
