I've been to every single thread I can find about installing realtek hd audio manager on Ubuntu 12.04 but I can't don't know what to do.
I have the realtek files installed on my computer, and I did the whole
"sudo ./ install "
thing, and I still have sound, but realtek isn't installed. I also looked at the how to pdf that was given with the download, and tried to
tar jxvpf alsa (the stuff that comes after the alsa)
but it kept saying the directory didn't exist, even though I was in the realtek audiopack.
Can someone guide me through installing this audio manager please?
