I upgraded my 12.04 to 12.10, everything seems to be ok except for the boot display. I see all the boot error messages ( eg can't connect to CIFS which is normal because I have shares mounted for home and work ) and the font is really ugly, even the Ubuntu 12.10 with the dots beneath it.

So my question is how can I restore the boot sequence to something more elegant ( like I had in 12.04 ) ?

I'm running 64bit with an Nvidia card
